I'm think about doing this trick to get reinstated, and quit. I have since moved 75 miles north of Los Angeles, so I'm not going back to the congregation that disfellowshipped me in the first place. I'm just doing this for my family. Are there any stories of people doing this ?

Was being a Ministerial Servant a Prerequisite for Marriage
by Pitchess Co-Gen ini'm asking this because when i was in ( disfellowshipped in 2009 ) some "sisters" wouldn't even look at you unless you had the title ministerial servant or worse elder.
i notice this when i was in because one of my friends thinks that by becoming a ms he could get the better looking witness girls.
tell me your stories of this..

Did Your District Conventions Have A Meat Market?
by Jeremy C ini was recently thinking back upon some of my unusual memories of being in the organization.
one of them was of the dodger stadium "meat market".. we used to attend our district conventions at dodger stadium in los angeles.
for those of you who arent familiar with the stadium, dodger stadium has a very large level with blue seats - which is the largest level within the stadium.

Why So Many Young People Are Leaving The Watchtower
by Jeremy C ini have been giving a lot of thought to the young people who are leaving the watchtower organization in recent years.
last night, i was reading the thread posted by jwfacts a while back in which he provided some statistics and graphs showing the rapidly declining growth in the watchtower.
one factor that was discussed at length was the high number of young people who do not stay in the organization.

I've been disfellowshipped since I was 23 years old ( I'm 26 now ), and I say the problems lay with the local congregations. The problem are lack of programs, love, backstabbing, and gossip.

Did you hear your Disfellowship Announcement ?
by Pitchess Co-Gen ini got this topic from another forum .
when i was in my judicial committee (2009); after the decision came to disfellowship me one elder asked "pitchess are you gonna be there to hear your announcement .
now i said "no i'm moving 75 miles north of los angeles " ( they tried to get me to stay, but thats another topic ).

When I was back there one elder said "it shows repentance to be there for the announcement" ( I say they just want to see your reaction ). Ok when I said "I didn't want Los Angeles to look point the finger of shame "; my old Coordinator of the Body of Elder said " well that's your punishment Pitchess ". Now I thought being disfellowship was the punishment. Well I'm out . Please leave commments and opinions ( former Elders I really need you to jump in on this ).

I remember back in the 90's when brothers were fighting to become MS and Elders. Now its seems that nobody wants these positions anymore. I guess after years of using the positions ( like a carrott on a stick ), they can't find anymore bothers.

by Open mind intoday's wt lesson: serving jehovah with all seriousness, excerpt from paragraph 11:.

Especially since in many Kingdom Halls I've visited in the past 2 yrs, including my own...there's a lot of elders doing the sound and carring mics
I've seen this at the congregation that I'm going to right now. Some meetings the young bothers do the mics and other meeting the 64 year old C.O.T.B.E does the mics. Years ago brothers were climbing over themselfs to be made M.S's, but things change.
